Continuing Progress on Capitol Foundation & Exterior Masonry Repairs

The initial phase of a $40 million project to repair the Capitol’s foundation and exterior stone façade is in progress. The first phase, which consists of structural and waterproofing repairs to the stairs, terraces and foundation, began in March and is expected to be completed by December, 2016.  Staff and visitor access will be maintained at the south carriage entrance throughout the duration of the project.  See updates and photos here.
