On September 8, 2014, the MSCC hosted a wine-tasting seminar and reception to raise funds to help restore the interior art of the Capitol. Various state agencies, nonprofit organizations as well as local artists and entrepreneurs collaborated to help produce the special event, which was held in the chamber of the House of Representatives.
