On October 18, 2016, the Missouri State Capitol Commission unanimously approved project recommendations for FY 2018 for the improvement of the Missouri State Capitol. The project list was provided by the Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction, and includes replacement of aging interior roof drain lines and renovation of the numerous skylights located throughout the building. The Commission also endorsed the re-appropriation of an estimated $78 million in funding to support ongoing projects, including upgrades to the building’s heating, cooling, and ventilation system, exterior stone repair, and a master plan project designed to make the building safer and more accessible to visitors and building occupants.
